Do coffee stouts have caffeine. I dont know that anyone has bothered to measure this or at least they havent published their findings but based on the published recipes for coffee beer there should be a measurable though not large caffeine content in the final product. A typical ratio might be a 31-gallon barrel of beer to a cold brew thats extracted from just one pound of coffee beans. Basically caffeine cant be added to beverage alcohol for the sole purpose of it having caffeine.

No Guinness has no caffeine to it. Those flavours come from the roasting of the barley and are responsible for the range of flavours from coffee to chocolate to hints of caramel. FWIW my homebrew was dry hopped with 6 ounces of coffee grounds for two weeks in a 5gal batch.
