Gibanica Recipe Feta
Grease the mold put sheets of filo dough in 2-3 layers greasing each with melted butter.
Gibanica recipe feta. Mix milk eggs clotted cream or yogurt and mashed feta in a bowl. This combination of feta and cottage cheese is lighter and not so salty. Mix well and add the dill and freshly ground pepper.
Add 3 eggs at a time beating well after each addition. Add the crumbled feta. Preheat oven to 200 ÂC and butter large baking dish in which you can cut pie.
How to Make Gibanica. For gibanica you have to fold phyllo dough sheets and soak them in a filling made from feta cheese eggs and sparkling water. Place one sheet at a time always sprinkling with the water.
In a large bowl whisk the eggs then add the cottage cheese crumbed feta yogurt some milk and ground pepper and combine. Brush the top of the pie with a mixture of hot water and oil and leave it to soak on the counter while you preheat the oven. We use melted butter to brush the phyllo sheets between adding the cheese and egg mixture.
In the pie baking dish place three sheets of pastry one at a time and place them flat. Make sure both the sides and bottom of the baking dish are oiled. Preheat the oven to 390F 200C.
Preheat oven to 375 F 200 C and oil a 913 baking dish with a generous amount of oil. Taste your feta cheese to determine how salty it is. Once combined add the dill and season with salt and pepper.
